Collection: Tall Timbers

The land of tall trees and never-ending landscapes of rolling hills covered in hardwoods & pines, New Brunswick is home to a long history of using this abundant natural resource. The Wolastoqiyik / Wəlastəkokewiyik of the region used birch to craft stunning canoes, snowshoes, toboggans, gardening implements and other amazing tools and art. With the arrival of europeans, the logging and lumber industry was aided by the natural river systems, all leading to Saint John harbour. To this day, Saint John is a hub of the lumber industry, with a pulp and paper mill clearly visible next to the Reversing Falls.
